Jeff, thanks for taking this on. It's a reasonable beginning.
I'm wondering how the CC will select potential TF members; typically, each council member gets to pick one. There's an application process, if I remember correctly, and a form to fill out.
I'm not planning to apply for the TF.

hi,
I gave my short pitch during public
comment.
Brett Lee then asked that the item be
pulled from the consent calendar so he could discuss it.
Later in the meeting he expressed his
concern that the TF not feel like it is mandated to repeat
work that’s already been done and that it could, if it
chose, to reuse previous work (DavisGIG though he didn’t
say that) has already done, and therefore could deliver its
recommendations more quickly than the proposed timetable.
The end result was to amend the the Timeline to be
“draft” with the understanding that the TF would work
with staff once it is created.
(During the break both Brett and Lucas came up to me
to say they thought this was important and they shared the
concerns I raised.)
(Diane also talked with me and she was supportive as
well.)
With that modification, the council unanimously adopted the
staff recommendations.
So time to get to work!
