Saturday's (1/19/19) Sacramento Women's March.

This is particularly important as we have just learned that the Sacramento
Women's March pulled out of the National Women's March coalition due to
false allegations of antisemitism against several of its leaders. 

Apparently the Sacramento Jewish Federation, which supports the Israel
lobby's advocacy for apartheid Israel, put pressure on local organizers to
break ties with the national march, falsely asserting that opposing Zionism
is anti-Jewish. Zionism is a racist and anti-human rights political ideology
that supports Israel as a state where Jews have full national rights while
Palestinians and other non-Jews are either third class citizens and/or
subject to harsh military occupation, extrajudicial killing, home
demolitions, torture and other violations of human rights and international
law. 

Where and When: South Side Park, 7th & T. Meet 9am on the east side of the
band stand/stage (to the right as you face the stage). Look for the thobe,
traditional Palestinian dress worn by Rashida Tlaib

sworn-into-congress/> , the first Palestinian-American Congress woman.

March route: The Sacramento Women's March goes from South Side Park in
Sacramento to the State Capitol at 10th & Capital. It is scheduled to leave
South Side Park at 10am. Speakers, music, and performances begin 10:30am on
the North, West, and South sides of the Capitol and continue until 3pm.
