Please take these five actions to help save lives in Gaza & the West Bank:

1) Make a phone call, send an email or fax:

Ask your Congressional Reps to attend the Aug 1 Briefing: Is Israel Complying with US & International law this Friday:

Examining Israel’s impunity in injuring and killing civilians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which includes East Jerusalem. See below for more info about the briefing.
Capitol Hill Briefing, Friday, August 1st, 2014, 2- 3:30pm, 2103 Rayburn House Office Building.
If you can, please call individually, see contact numbers at the bottom of this message.
You can also click to sign this letter to: <http://org.salsalabs.com/o/641/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=16168> Invite your Congressional representatives to briefing on Israel’s violence against Palestinian civilians.

In the same call, please

- Ask your Reps to oppose HCR 107 <http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c113:H.CON.RES.107:> , which utterly distorts the horrific events occurring in the Gaza Strip and fails to condemn Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people under international law.
If you are in Ami Bera’s district, ask him to immediately remove his name as a co-sponsor of HCR 107. (Matsui, Garamendi and McClintock have not co-sponsored. Click to see all co-sponsors <http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d113:HC00107:@@@> .)
- Then call Senators Boxer and Feinstein and ask them to oppose SCR 41 <http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c113:S.CON.RES.41:> , which is the companion to HCR 107.

If you are not able to get through on the phone, you can also email and fax, see below.

2) Attend the bannering and rally this Friday, August 1, 4pm at the Federal Building, 501 I Street, downtown Sacramento. <https://www.facebook.com/events/302401409942270/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming> Please bring others.

3) Sign these petitions recently posted at: www.sacbds.org/petitions:

5) Whenever you have the opportunity, talk to people about what is going on in Gaza and the West Bank. Over 1300 people have now been killed, overwhelmingly civilians including nearly 300 children. Israel is continuing to kill and terrorize Palestinians in the West Bank as well.
