criticism of Israel and shut out Palestinian voices.

     Call  Newsom (916) 445-2841 and send him a message  at:

     AB 715 claims to fight antisemitism, but it will actually censor
classrooms and silence voices. By tying enforcement to a politicized
definition of antisemitism, it conflates criticism of Israel with
antisemitism, erases Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, Jewish, and other
marginalized voices, and pressures teachers to self-censor.
      Despite unanimous opposition from California’s major education
organizations and warnings from educators, parents, and students across the
state, the CA legislature disturbingly passed AB 715 on 9/12 and it now is
up to the Governor to stop it.


*2. Tell Sacramento City Council

adopt a Socially Responsible Investment Policy.*

Councilmembers on a policy that supports life-affirming investments that
remain in line with the city’s need to meet its fiduciary responsibilities.
This includes setting standards for divestment from corporations knowingly
causing severe and widespread harm: the fossil fuels, weapons, and tobacco
industries, as well as corporations complicit in or profiting from labor
exploitation, prison labor and mass incarceration, immigration detention,
and severe human rights violations such as apartheid and genocide.
