There is nothing to celebrate about Israel's brutal occupation, torture and other mistreatment of political prisoners, violent repression of Palestinian activists, shoot-to-kill policies, kidnapping of children, and other abuses of human rights and international law.

► Support Palestinian political prisoner hunger strikers.

On April 17, 2017, Palestinian political prisoners started a hunger strike to demand: family visits, proper medical care, an end to Israel’s practice of detaining Palestinians without charge or trial in so-called administrative detention and stopping the use of isolation.

► <> Tell the Sacramento Bee to Stop Biased Editorials Against Palestinian Rights

Send an email to the Sacramento Bee Editorial Board objecting to their biased portrayal of performer Roger Waters as anti-Jewish because Waters openly supports Palestinian rights, including refusing to play in Israel. Details below. Waters, formerly of Pink Floyd, plays at the Golden 1 Center on June 12, 2017.

You can send one message by copying and paste these emails of the Bee Editorial board: <> <mailto:jterhaar at> jterhaar at; <mailto:dmorain at> dmorain at; <mailto:esmith at> esmith at; <mailto:johman at> johman at; <mailto:greed at> greed at; <mailto:shubler at> shubler at; <mailto:frhee at> frhee at

Shame Sac Bee @jterhaar @foonrhee for deceptive editorials against those working for Palestinian rights @RogerWaters

- Columnist Foon Rhee’s April 13, 2017 column <> ignores the reality of Israel’s brutal occupation of Palestine. Rhee sympathizes with Zionist Alan Edelstein for taking a “strong stand on an issue clearly close to his heart” and quotes Edelstein calling Roger Waters “a Jew hater”. Not only does Rhee leave this slur unchallenged, he says nothing about Waters’ principled stance for Palestinian human rights, obviously one close to the hearts of many, including Waters.

- On April 20, 2017, the Bee ran an Op Ed <> by Rabbi Reuven Taff that takes Waters’ song lyrics completely out of context in an attempt to smear him as anti-Jewish. The song, In the Flesh <> , is satire that uses fascism to parody “mindless stadium rock”. The lyrics include: “Are there any queers in the theater tonight? Get 'em up against the wall … Now, that one looks Jewish. And that one's a coon. Who let all this riffraff into the room?”
Reuven also seems to think that Israel should be let off the hook because the death toll in Syria is higher than that of the Israel Palestine conflict.
