Actions

As Israel continues its attacks (see news links below), including extrajudicial killing of Palestinians and arrests of Palestinian children, it is imperative that our electeds hear from us.  Please take these actions: 

►Sign petition to Oppose H.Res. 567, Congress’ Attack on EU’s Labeling of Israeli Settlement Goods <http://org.salsalabs.com/o/641/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=18885>  

► Sign petition supporting Student Workers’ Union Historic BDS vote <http://org.salsalabs.com/o/641/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=18904>  

► Contact President Obama <https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact>  (202-456-1111) and urge him to veto HR 644 which includes a provision protecting Israel’s illegal West Bank settlements <http://prospect.org/article/why-are-democrats-voting-israeli-settlements> . All these settlements are in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention <http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/31/un-panel-israeli-settlements-illegal_n_2589394.html> . 

►Tell your California Assembly member <http://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/>  to publically state they will not support recently introduced AB 1551 <http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/15-16/bill/asm/ab_1551-1600/ab_1551_bill_20160104_introduced.htm> , the “California Israel Commerce Protection Act” that attacks the successful efforts to use boycott and divestment to pressure Israel to ends its occupation, Apartheid policies, and  violations of human rights and international law. ► Sign petition telling ReMax <http://www.remodelremax.org/remax_petition>  to stop selling in Israel’s illegal settlements.

► Sign petition asking <http://www.sacridehuman.org/>  Sacramento Regional Transit to not extend its contract with human rights violator G4S. Tell the Sac RT Board that <https://sacridehumandotorg.files.wordpress.com/2016/01/message-sacramento-regional-transit.pdf>  you support public contracts only with ethical and socially responsible firms and G4S doesn’t meet that standard.
