Take action to stop anti-BDS bill, protest Israel lobby & more

► Contact Senator Feinstein <https://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/e-mail-me#form_771f98e4-236a-4cab-b9c2-5a4e7e993948>  and Boxer <https://www.boxer.senate.gov/contact/shareyourviews.html>  today to oppose all anti-BDS bills <http://org.salsalabs.com/o/641/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=17813>  and fast track legislation.  BDS, the Boycott, Divestment  <http://www.bdsmovement.net/> & Sanctions global movement to pressure Israel to end its egregious human rights and international law violations, is succeeding, so the Israel lobby has stepped up its attacks against it.

 

► Contact your  <http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/> Congressmember and President Obama tell them to contact the U.S. State Department and the Israeli consulate to halt the  <http://www.btselem.org/press_releases/20150510_civil_administration_mapping_susiya> planned destruction of the Palestinian village of Khirbet Susiya . ► Protest the Israel lobby’s “celebrate Israel <http://jewishsac.org/jewishheritagefestival> ”  event this coming Sunday, May 17, 12:30pm. There’s nothing to celebrate until the Israeli government ends its apartheid, occupation and other violations of international law and human rights. Special guest: a transformed Netanyahu!

Parking:  Plan to arrive early – there is free parking for those attending the event, probably near the 5th & Ballpark entrance.  You may also be able to find on street parking in West Sacramento, but probably will need to walk a bit to Raley Field. You can also park in downtown Sacramento for free and walk across the Tower Bridge.

 

► Ask your Sacramento City Council <http://portal.cityofsacramento.org/mayor-council>  member why the Sacramento Police Chief attended training in Israel – training that is now implicated in police brutality in Baltimore <http://electronicintifada.net/blogs/rania-khalek/israeli-trained-police-invade-baltimore-crackdown-black-lives-matter> , and ask them to look into the racism practiced in Ashkelon <http://mondoweiss.net/2015/05/baltimore-confronting-unchallenged?utm_source=Mondoweiss+List&utm_campaign=ff9f72318a-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b86bace129-ff9f72318a-398537753>  – an Israeli city that is a sister city of both Baltimore and Sacramento.
