deaths to continue inflicting collective punishment by murdering, arresting,
torturing, and home demolitions.

Organizational statements regarding Israel’s rampage:

[Statement from American Muslims for Palestine,]

The American Muslims for Palestine, a national education and advocacy
organization, holds that all life is sacred. And while the world marks the
deaths of the three Israeli settlers, AMP asserts that Palestinian life is
no less important. We call upon western media and President Barack Obama to
recognize the more than one dozen Palestinians who have been killed since
Israel launched “Operation Brothers’ Keeper” on June 12 in response to
the settlers’ disappearance.

[Statement from Israeli human rights organization, B'Tselem,]

“B'Tselem renews its call to the Israeli government to refrain from acts of
vengeance for the abduction and killing of the three Israeli teens. B'Tselem
cautions the security forces to avoid harming the innocent Palestinian
population, or abusing the public atmosphere in Israel with the discovery of
the bodies, to impose collective punishment, as was done in the past two
weeks as part of the searches. The deliberate harming of an entire civilian
population as punishment for the actions of individuals is both illegal and
immoral. Additionally, the security forces must prepare for possible acts of
revenge by settlers.”
