Rob, I obviously support DavisGIG's efforts and
the leadership you have taken on. However, you need an editor to
ensure your communications inspire confidence in your audience.
Everyone who writes a single line needs an editor, so I encourage
you to seek one out, maybe among your closest associates, and to
build in some time for messages to be edited or, at least, to
adjust your expectations regarding how quickly you can turn around
a communication. Below is an example of how your email could have
been improved. The first block is using strikeout and underline
to highlight edited text in red. In case you are using plain
text, the next block is the end result of my edits. Your original
version is below my signature block for comparison. Yes, I would
be willing to perform some editing for you, but I have no idea
what sort of schedules you are on. I do encourage you to check
with your close friends to get their opinion on the value of
edited communication and support everything you are doing to show
Comcast the door.
Hi, All

Let's get open access, community-owned fiber optic Internet for all
residences and businesses in Davis!

DavisGIG efforts to accomplish this goal are continuing through our
informal activist group, and will now also proceed more formally
through the newly formed Broadband Advisory Task Force.

We need to work on this using both approaches.

Anyone in the community interested in serving on the Task Force as a
"member of the public" is encouraged to apply.

Also know that DavisGIG plans to increase outreach to (the
community? our own members?) over this next year.

More updates soon!
